Speaker Introduction:

Dual-certified in European Veterinary Internal Medicine and Oncology and the first President of the prestigious European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM), Erik graduated from Utrecht University with more than 30 years of expert experience, specialising in small animal clinical cytology, epidemiology and oncology. He has published 160 journal articles, 17 book chapters and more than 200 other articles and has given more than 150 invited lectures at international conferences. He has also served as President of the European Board of Veterinary Specialities (EBVS) and is still President of the Dutch Board of Veterinary Specialities. He was awarded the EBVS Prize in 2016 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the veterinary profession in Europe.
